What’s been happening:

After graduating from Penn State in Nursing, I worked as a psych nurse for 5 years. While working in psych, I completed my Master's in Nursing at the University of Phoenix. After completing my MSN, I began working at Saint Francis University conducting research for the US Dept. of Defense (on wound care, PTSD/TBI, bio-terrorism/weapons of mass destruction, autism, telemedicine, etc.) I have presented my research at many national and international conferences, and have published several articles in medical journals. In addition to conducting research, I was the medical content reviewer for the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Continuing Education, a grant reviewer for Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and lecturer in University of Pitt Johnstown's Nursing Program. I currently work for the United Mine Workers Health and Retirement FUNDS as the RN Program Manager for Community Health Nursing. I teach a Strong People strength training program for people over 40 as well as a Chronic Disease Self-Management Program. In addition, I am Adjunct Faculty at the University of Phoenix where I teach Nursing/Healthcare Research. I owe much of my success to Penn State. None of this would have been possible for me without my nursing education from Penn State.
